Gaétan Malette is the federal Member of Parliament for Kapuskasing—Timmins—Mushkegowuk since 2025 and is the associate shadow minister for natural resources. Mr Malette has built a 45-year career in the forestry and mining sectors leading projects that advanced economic development, often in partnership with First Nations communities.
